The release includes mechanical CAD, schematics, PCB layouts, bill of materials, firmware, ROS 2 SDKs and simulation models.

The open version provides 24 active degrees of freedom, while a Pro variant adds six more, giving 30 DOF with two head joints and seven per arm for advanced manipulation research. ROMOMO rotary joint modules supply nominal peak torque between 25 Nm and 160 Nm, operate at 48 V, and use CAN-FD for communication. Joint design features inner-rotor motors with planetary reducers, a non-coaxial hip, parallel ankle actuation and hollow cable routing for easy removal.

Software runs a unified device interface at 500 Hz control loops and 50 Hz policy updates. Tools such as hhtools for motion retargeting, MimicLite and the disturbance-recovery project UFO are open, while higher-level intent and skill orchestration remain research-only. RoboParty is accepting applications for an RP1 beta program, inviting developers with real projects to file issues and provide feedback.
