# Dubai AI Campus aims for more than 1,000 firms and over 5,000 jobs by 2030

> Dubai AI Campus, opened in May 2024, targets over 1,000 AI firms and more than 5,000 skilled jobs by 2030.

## Key Takeaways (TL;DR)

- The campus seeks to host more than 1,000 AI firms and create over 5,000 high-skill jobs by 2030.
- Over 500 firms have joined since May 2024, raising more than AED 1 billion in private-equity and VC funding.
- A 100,000 sq ft building in DIFC’s Zabeel District will offer GPU-ready labs, digital twins and a public AI Experience Centre.

Dubai’s AI Campus, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), opened in May 2024. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, approved the ambition to attract more than 1,000 AI firms and create over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030 at the third Dubai AI Festival, where more than 20,000 people from over 100 countries attended the Dubai World Trade Centre [Fintech News Middle East](https://fintechnews.ae/34597/ai/dubai-ai-campus-1000-ai-firms-2030/).

Since opening, the campus has enrolled more than 500 AI firms, meeting its 2028 target two years early. DIFC data show these firms have collectively raised over AED 1 billion from private-equity and venture-capital funds, and the campus has helped create more than 2,000 technology jobs.

During the festival, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed plans for a new 100,000 sq ft building in DIFC’s Zabeel District. The facility will provide GPU-ready systems, secure zones, digital-twin models, AI Labs for public-sector and private-sector testing, conference rooms and an AI Experience Centre open to the public.
