Intel, Oracle, IBM and quantum-computing firm IonQ have joined 22 other issuers in objecting to the trading of their shares on the OKX-ICE tokenized stock venue, according to an updated public notice dated Oct. 26 Decrypt. The joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and OKX’s U.S. holding company now lists 26 objecting issuers, up from 22 in its Oct. 23 notice and nine on Oct. 15.
Technology firms dominate the roster, with Microsoft, Alphabet, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Arm, Cisco, and now Intel and Oracle objecting, alongside banks Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo. The notice does not detail the reasons for the objections or their legal effect.
OKX-ICE TSV plans 24/7 trading of tokenized U.S. stocks via permissioned Uniswap v4 pools on OKX’s XLayer blockchain, using stablecoins such as USDC. Trades must be fully funded, with no margin, and liquidity providers can withdraw at any time.
Our read: The rapid expansion of objections underscores lingering corporate concerns about regulatory clarity and investor protection in tokenized securities, potentially slowing broader adoption of blockchain-based trading infrastructure.
