Rain MENA FZE, the Dubai arm of the Middle-East crypto platform Rain, has been granted a full licence by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) Fintech News Middle East. The licence covers virtual-asset exchange and broker-dealer services and explicitly includes margin-trading capabilities.
VARA had earlier issued an In-Principle Approval (IPA) to Rain, allowing the firm to prepare for operations; the full licence now authorises Rain to serve retail, qualified and institutional investors under VARA’s exchange and broker-dealer rulebooks.
Laurent Girouille, Director of Rain MENA FZE, said the company is a regional platform with global intent and that Dubai makes that practical. With this approval, Rain joins a trio of Gulf regulators—VARA, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)—that now oversee its activities.
