Tencent Cloud announced that AI agents are creating more than 20,000 TDSQL-C database instances per day, a volume that has risen more than 80-fold over the past year, and that over one million such instances are now active Pandaily.
The service now supports serverless scaling and database branching, allowing agents to spin up isolated test copies and scale from 0.25 to 32 compute units in 75 seconds, then revert in 10 seconds after load ends. Integration with CloudBase lets agents create tables, set permissions and generate APIs, with the PostgreSQL edition compatible with Supabase.
The plan is to expand to 200 agents within a year, reaching 4.6 million equivalent hours next year.
Tencent notes that WorkBuddy has processed 9 billion task requests since its March launch, and Dowson Tong, head of Tencent’s Cloud and Smart Industries Group, emphasized the importance of linking people, tools, systems and data for agent deployment.
